MONDAYS
Monday 6PM: Slow Track Fun #11 for Guitar & Uke (level 2) New Class! An easy going class for those who know some basic guitar chords or want to get started on the ukulele. We will learn at least a dozen well-known songs from a wide variety of sources. Songs from artists like Bonnie Raitt, Woody Guthrie, Ray Charles, Hank Williams, John Denver, Creedence Clearwater, Emmylou Harris, American traditional songs and many more. We will also learn how to start playing songs by ear. 7PM: Folk Favorites #2
(level 2) (Note: Folk Favorites 1 and Folk Favorites 2 are the same level. Just different songs.) This is great class to solidify the material and techniques introduced in the level 1 Starting to Play class or for anyone who wants to improve their basic guitar skills. Popular folk, rock and country songs with easy chords and easy strums. You’ll learn new chords, some new strum patterns, some new bass runs, and 17 new songs! |
TUESDAYS
5PM: Intro to Travis Style (level 2-3) This fast paced, technique building class will introduce you to Travis style fingerpicking patterns, plus basic song arranging and embellishments. Songs from a wide variety of sources like James Taylor, the Beatles, John Denver, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Bob Dylan, Kansas, Tom Paxton, etc. You will learn to read tablature in this class. (Please note: This class was formerly called Already Picking Some). 6PM: All Eagles (level 3)
New Class! The Eagles changed the sound of rock and roll when they burst on the scene in the early 1970's, adding their bluegrass, country, rock, and pop roots to their contemporary sound. Many of their well-known songs work perfectly on an acoustic guitar, largely because it was used (and is still) a central part of their sound. Join us for a summer of fun as we learn many of their best known and loved songs. We will use tablature for this class. Please note that Carol is teaching two Eagles classes this summer. This one is a level 3 class. An easier level 2+ version of this class will be taught on Wednesdays at 5:30pm. 7PM: Songwriter's Circle
(no guitar level) Open to songwriters of all levels including beginners. Our songwriting class is different every quarter in our constant search for the muse. Come to get started writing your own songs; come for ideas and guidance; come to share a song in progress or a finished song. Come just to have a great time! Weekly assignments plus an opportunity to share your own projects. Class size is limited. Please sign up early! |

No worries if you miss a class - Carol will be sending video links each week for your classes. All Workshops are $240.
